In 2026, Phu Binh commune has been allocated funding for 32 projects, including 8 ongoing projects and 24 new projects, a total investment of 7.6 million USD. Nguyen Van Ban, Secretary of the commune Party Committee, said that, to ensure disbursement progress, the commune is removing bottlenecks in site clearance and stepping up public communications to build consensus and keep projects on schedule.

"Every week, the commune People's Committee reviews disbursement progress and construction quality. We’re focusing on clearing bottlenecks, particularly site clearance for transportation projects. Working groups led by members of the Party Standing Board have been set up to directly engage with residents, explain project benefits, and build public consensus during implementation," said Ban.

In line with the Government's Directive on accelerating public investment disbursement in 2026, departments, sectors, localities, and project owners have introduced coordinated measures to speed up project execution.

According to Tran Le Ninh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Chu commune, the commune is prioritizing investment preparation to ensure everything is ready for the projects to begin. He added, "We’re expediting every stage—from survey, design, and appraisal to completing procedures in accordance with the Law on Public Investment and other relevant regulations. At the same time, we’re strengthening supervision of contractors to accelerate construction progress and disbursement of allocated capital."

For key projects, investment preparation, site clearance, and construction planning are being carried out in parallel to ensure work can begin immediately once funding is allocated, to raise disbursement rates in the remaining months of the year.

Local authorities and project owners are stepping up site inspections and expediting payment procedures to ensure that completed work is inspected, accepted, and paid for promptly in line with regulations.

Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of An Khanh commune, said, "Right from the beginning of the year, after receiving the province's public investment allocation, we reviewed all projects to ensure they met regulatory requirements before implementation. We’ve also strictly overseen every procedure to keep disbursement on schedule, with payments made according to project progress and in full compliance with State regulations."

In the first half of the year, Thai Nguyen's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) expanded 10.01%. The province attracted an additional 8 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI), bringing the total registered capital of active FDI projects to 19 billion USD.

In 2026, State budget public investment managed by local authorities totals 370 million USD, including 277 million USD allocated under the Prime Minister's investment plan. The remainder comprises carried-over capital from previous years and locally allocated funding. As of June 25, Thai Nguyen had disbursed more than 33% of its annual target.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of the Project Management Board for Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment in the northern part of Thai Nguyen province, said that 2026 is a pivotal year for achieving the development goals through 2030.

“Provincial authorities have instructed departments, sectors, and project management boards to thoroughly prepare all conditions for implementation, especially site clearance. Once funding is allocated, projects can start immediately, accelerating construction, bringing projects into operation sooner, and ensuring that disbursement remains on schedule," Tuan noted.

Thai Nguyen has instructed departments, sectors, localities, and project owners to strengthen leadership accountability, conduct regular on-site inspections, and promptly clear bottlenecks related to site clearance, investment procedures, and construction progress. Through these efforts, Thai Nguyen aims to attain its 2026 public investment disbursement target and create stronger momentum for economic growth.
