(VOVWORLD) - After the first 7 months of 2023, The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has exceeded its target for the whole year for State budget contribution 5 months ahead of schedule, against difficulties and challenges of the global and national economy, and the energy market falling sharply compared to the same period last year.

(VOVWORLD) - As part of the Vietnamese Prime Minister’s working visit to China in June, Lang Son province of Vietnam and Guangxi province of China signed a framework agreement on the pilot construction of a smart border gate between the two countries. This is an important condition to boost border trade and strengthen goods clearance, thus contributing to the two countries’ socio-economic development.

Seaports play an important part in the logistics chain where cargo is transported from roads to waterways. As shipping is responsible for the transport of 90% of Vietnam’s import and export cargo volumes and a portion of domestically circulated goods, it is the life-line of Vietnam’s transport and distribution systems. Vietnam aims to create breakthroughs in the development of the marine economy including the maritime economy by 2030.

The province is upgrading transportation infrastructure and maximizing its advantages of geographical location and tourism resources to become a bright spot in investment and economy.

(VOVWORLD) - Lao Cai province aims to turn its border gate economic zone into a major logistics center in Vietnam, as part of its plan to become an economic trade center between Vietnam and ASEAN countries and China’s southwestern region. The province has adopted a number of measures to upgrade infrastructure and develop transportation and human resources.

(VOVWORLD) -Quang Ninh province has almost reached its target for 2023 in foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction. It has been the destination of new-generation FDI projects in high-tech and source technology with spillover socio-economic effects that prove Quang Ninh is on the right track in promoting green development strategy and becoming a leading manufacturing and processing center in Vietnam.

(VOVWORLD) -In the first six months of this year, Vietnam's GDP increased 3.72% despite the national economy facing many difficulties. Although that’s low compared to previous years, a rise was recorded in every month in the second quarter. The Government, departments, sectors, and localities have been urged to work together to help enterprises restore production and trading.
