(VOVWORLD) - Established in July 1994, the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) has greatly contributed to Vietnam’s financial development. This week, the SAV will host the 14th Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI 14), an important event for international integration and cooperation.

(VOVWORLD) - The 14th Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI 14) will take place in Hanoi from next Wednesday, focusing on environmental pollution challenges. As the host of the 4-day event, the State Audit of Vietnam has implemented many solutions in environmental auditing to meet practical requirements and to keep in line with international trends and practices.

(VOVWORLD) - Most enterprises in the Mekong Delta performed effectively in the first half of this year, with a growth rate of about 9%. The result was attributed to joint efforts by the Mekong provinces to boost investment for regional development.

(VOVWORLD) - FDI businesses have contributed remarkably to Vietnam’s economy and received many incentives when investing in the country. But a number of them have made corrupt use of Vietnam’s preferential treatment to practice transfer pricing for tax evasion, causing big losses to the State budget collection and creating an unfair competitive environment. To combat the situation, Vietnam’s functional agencies are improving the legal corridor to ensure transparency in the investment environment and combat tax revenue losses.

(VOVWORLD) - The direct exports to foreign distribution systems are considered to be an efficient and sustainable method, which many Vietnamese exporters are pursuing. This year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has implemented a project to help Vietnamese enterprises join foreign distribution system until 2020. The project aims to promote trade, advertise Vietnamese brands, and expand market for Vietnamese goods.

(VOVWORLD) - The One Commune, One Product (OCOP) program, economic development program operated in rural areas, is directed at upholding internal power and increasing the value of each product. This task is part of the National Target Program on building new-style rural areas. Quang Ninh is the leading province nationwide that has implemented the OCOP model, acting as a foundation for the government to expand the model.

(VOVWORLD) - Last year, Vietnam earned 8.3 billion USD from seafood exports. But late last October, the European Commission (EC) imposed a yellow card warning on Vietnam’s seafood for failing to make progress in fighting illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Following the imposition, Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development carried out a series of specific actions to get the yellow card removed.
