14th National Party Congress shortens agenda, expected to close on Friday afternoon
(VOVWORLD) - The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is expected to conclude on Friday afternoon, one and a half days earlier than originally scheduled. Delegates unanimously voted to adjust the Congress agenda on Thursday, as many items had been completed ahead of schedule.

Held under the theme “Unity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development,” the Congress officially opened on Tuesday at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, attended by nearly 1,600 delegates representing more than 5.6 million Party members nationwide.
Over the past two days, delegates have discussed key documents, including the Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee; a report reviewing theoretical and practical issues of Vietnam’s socialist-oriented renewal over the past 40 years; a report summarizing 15 years of implementation of the Party Statute (2011-2025), along with orientations for its amendment and supplementation; and a report reviewing the leadership and direction of the 13th Party Central Committee.
