42 countries endorse UN peacekeeping declaration

(VOVWORLD) - 42 countries have endorsed a UN peacekeeping declaration, part of UN chief Antonio Guterres's efforts to renew political support for UN peacekeeping operations, spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said on Monday.

At a press conference at UN headquarters in New York, Dujarric said 42 countries, including Security Council members have endorsed the Declaration of Shared Commitments on UN Peacekeeping and Guterres wants all members to endorse the declaration before Friday.
