He asked the province to ensure clear assignment of responsibilities, tasks, and timelines, and to compile voter lists accurately, fully, and on schedule, stressing that the quality of consultation and personnel is the decisive factor.
Noting that Vinh Long is crisscrossed by rivers and canals, Chairman Man said polling stations must be arranged to be close to the people and convenient to access, with contingency plans in place for weather conditions, tidal surges, and transport disruptions.
Given the province’s large Khmer ethnic minority population, he added that communication and outreach efforts must be accessible, easy to understand, and appropriate to local customs and practices.
With just over 40 days remaining until Election Day, the top legislator urged the provincial Election Committee to uphold the principles of democracy, law compliance, safety, convenience, and substance, while ensuring absolute security before, during, and after the elections.
