(VOVWORLD) - The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has attracted strong interest from VOV listeners in France who are paying particular attention to Vietnam’s new orientation and leadership.

“I hope a clear and stable leadership will be established, creating favorable conditions for Vietnam’s development. The goal is to promote economic growth and innovation while maintaining social cohesion, a factor that has helped shape today’s Vietnam,” Paul Jamet of L’Isle-Adam, a town about 20 kilometers from Paris, said.
“Above all, I expect the new leaders to turn the Congress’s decisions into reality, with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity in serving the national interest, and a vision for the future of the younger generation.”

Young listener Raphaël Voydis of Dax, a town in southwestern France, expressed interest in the 14th Party Congress’s new strategic orientation. “The Congress is of great importance to Vietnam’s development in tourism, industry, and trade. Tourism needs to continue promoting cultural values, the natural beauty of Vietnam, and the hospitality of the Vietnamese people in order to attract more visitors. Industry should work harder to develop the ‘Made in Vietnam’ brand.”
The goal of trade should be to boost the export of Vietnamese goods to the global market. Modernization needs to continue, especially improving housing in rural areas and upgrading infrastructure, Voydis said.
