Localities gear up for National Assembly elections
(VOVWORLD) - Preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term are accelerating nationwide with strong determination and a tightly managed schedule.
In Hanoi, inspection teams have been established to review election-related work, including personnel arrangements, voter meetings with candidates, and public communication activities.

In Ho Chi Minh City, election preparations in all wards, communes, and special administrative units have been completed.
“Preparations are progressing on schedule. With the active involvement of the entire political system, the election in Ho Chi Minh City will fully comply with regulations and be a real festival for all people,” Nguyen Tan Phong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Home Affairs, said.
In Dak Lak, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet stressed the importance of strengthening election-related communications through all available channels to ensure that people are fully informed of their rights and obligations.
