(VOVWORLD) - The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held the National Political Military Conference on Wednesday to review the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2025 and outline tasks for 2026.

Addressing the conference, State President Luong Cuong called on the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to continue thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the line of all-people national defense and people’s war in safeguarding the Fatherland under new circumstances, while enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of national defense at all levels.

He also urged the Ministry of National Defense to focus on building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern army, improving the overall quality and combat strength of the armed forces, maintaining strict combat readiness, reforming and enhancing the quality of training, education, and exercises in line with new conditions; and firmly protecting the country’s airspace, seas, borders, inland areas, cyberspace, and key strategic locations.
