Party chief hosts welcoming ceremony for China’s top leader

(VOVWORLD) -A grand welcoming ceremony for Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping was held at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on Monday with the highest protocol reserved for a head of state. Party General Secretary To Lam presided over the ceremony.

The convoy carrying General Secretary and President Xi entered the Presidential Palace to the cheers of children and Hanoi residents.

Amidst the welcoming music, General Secretary To Lam invited General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to step up to the podium.

Party chief hosts welcoming ceremony for China’s top leader - ảnh 5A 21-gun salute was fired from Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

After listening to the national anthems of the two countries, both leaders left the podium, bowed to the military flag and inspected the Honor Guard of the Vietnam People's Army. Next, they introduced the members of each other’s high-ranking delegation.
