Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung told the press that Party leader Lam and the Vietnamese delegation carried out more than 20 important activities, achieving substantive and effective results.

The most notable outcome of the visit was the elevation of Vietnam-UK relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the highest level in Vietnam’s partnership framework system.

Minister Trung emphasized that the visit delivered a consistent message about Vietnam’s foreign policy of multilateralization, diversification, and harmonizing relations with partners across different regions.

The UK demonstrated its high regard for the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over nearly four decades of renewal and development.

According to Minister Trung, amid complex global developments, Vietnam’s establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnerships with all five permanent members of the UN Security Council - bringing the total to 14 - helps strengthen its diplomatic environment and enhance the role and position of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Vietnam-UK relationship now enters a new chapter, marked by greater political trust and a long-term strategic foundation for comprehensive cooperation.
