(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on Russia to invest in building a nuclear energy ecosystem in Vietnam.

Chairing the Vietnam–Russia Business Forum on Tuesday during his official visit to Russia, the Prime Minister said Vietnam is prioritizing energy development, including plans to develop nuclear power as a clean energy source with a 100-year vision. In the oil and gas sector, he urged both sides to continue promoting exploration, production, and processing activities.
He also proposed that the Russian Government pay attention to joint ventures in railway development, adding that Vietnam is preparing favorable conditions for Russia to establish key vocational training institutions in fields such as nuclear energy, oil and gas, quantum science, and fundamental sciences.

The Prime Minister called on banks to provide effective support for businesses, contributing to smoother goods circulation.
He called on businesses of both countries to implement concrete projects and products so that the two nations can fully benefit from this strong relationship, while enhancing business connectivity between them.
"I hope that through this forum, enterprises, especially leading and pioneering ones, will strengthen their connections in a more dynamic and effective manner, thereby helping elevate bilateral ties to a new level that is more practical, efficient, and of higher quality,” said Prime Minister Chinh.
At the forum, leaders and enterprises of the two countries exchanged four cooperation agreements in oil and gas, maritime transport, railways, and logistics.
