Vietnam Students’ Association urged to renovate operation

(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Students’ Association and its movements have grown strongly in the past 65 years and contributed significantly to Vietnam’s wars of liberation. The commendation was made by Le Hong Anh, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, at a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday to mark the 65th anniversary of Vietnam Students’ Day (January 9). Mr. Anh urged the Association to boost creativity in its operation to help train generations of knowledgeable and virtuous students with a firm political stance. Relevant agencies and organizations were asked to join the Association in the training.

At the ceremony, the Vietnam Students’ Association honored 41 students for their outstanding virtue, academic achievements, and volunteer work. It presented the “January Star” award to the best 10 students who have been enthusiastically involved in student movements.
