Vietnamese Ambassador presents credentials to President of Palestine

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt, concurrently accredited to the State of Palestine, Nguyen Nam Duong, presented his credentials to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday, officially assuming his role as Vietnam’s non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Palestine.

At the ceremony, President Mahmoud Abbas extended New Year greetings to the leaders and people of Vietnam. He commended Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over 40 years of Doi Moi (Renewal), describing the country as a model for others in national liberation, development, and in effectively mobilizing international solidarity and support.

Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent stance in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people, backing the two-state solution and Palestine’s full membership at the United Nations, while safeguarding the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people.
