He described it as an action-oriented Congress, citing the approval of innovative and forward-looking documents that ensure strong continuity.
These documents came with an action program, with details on the subject, roadmap, resources, and goals of the Congress’s Resolution. They clearly outline a path for Vietnam's renewal process in the next 5 years and beyond.
The fact that the 14th National Party Congress concluded a day and a half earlier than schedule also demonstrated its effectiveness and the high degree of consensus among delegates, Prof. Xu said. He also praised the new leadership team of the Communist Party of Vietnam, noting its strong capacity for action and implementation, as well as a very high level of theoretical expertise.
The scholar said the foreign policy set out at the Congress is a combination of continuity, development, and breakthrough, enabling Vietnam to respond effectively to global uncertainty and the country’s own development needs.
“The Congress highlighted the need to integrate diplomacy with socio-economic development, national defense, and security, ensuring adherence to principles while allowing flexibility in implementation. This is consistent with Vietnam’s current strategy, which serves its two centennial goals. It also showed an innovative and practical approach, which will help Vietnam achieve long-term and stable growth,” he said.
