Nam Dinh province is due to host men’s football fixtures at SEA Games 31. Previously some events at the SEA Games 22 in 2003 had been organised in the locality.
Thien Truong Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 seats, with the administration of Nam Dinh province investing approximately 1.1 million USD to upgrade the stadium in order to serve the upcoming regional games.
The stadium hosts matches in Group B which involves Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, and Singapore.
The semi-final round of the men’s football event will also take place at Thien Truong Stadium.
