Trung’s photo themed “Fishing in mangrove forest” depicts a fisherman working in a mangrove forest located in Hue province’s Tam Giang lagoon. An awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at Siena Awards Festival in Siena, Italy, in October.
Additional seven images of Vietnamese photographers are among the finalists of the people category of the Drone Photo Awards. A photo titled “Buddhists are praying” by Khanh Phan is also highly commended at the contest.
“Harvesting grass” by Khanh Phan features women harvesting grass found throughout the country, particularly in low-lying areas in central and southern regions.
Regarding his photo titled “Pray for soul”, Bui Phu Khanh writes: “In the full moon of July, as part of the Vietnamese culture, women put on the traditional costumes called 'Ao Dai' to join the colored lantern and flower-garland releasing festival on the river to pray for happiness and good luck to their families.”

“Sea flower” by Vu Ngoc Tuan depicts fishermen in Phu Yen province busy casting nets on the large fishing grounds.
