The ceremony was attended by senior Australian officials and members of the Vietnamese delegation.
Following the ceremony, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam held talks with Governor-General Sam Mostyn and met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. He also witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents, met with the media, and held meetings with the Presidents of the Australian Senate and House of Representatives.
Vietnam and Australia established diplomatic relations on February 26, 1973. Since then, the two countries have built strong and enduring ties with increasingly diverse areas of shared interest.
Vietnam is now considered one of Australia’s most important bilateral partners. Bilateral relations are currently at their most dynamic stage since the two countries established a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
