The team was deployed by the provincial Steering Committee 515, which oversees the search, recovery and identification of martyrs' remains. They include officers and soldiers from Ca Mau Military Command and experts from the provincial Health Department, Department of Science & Technology, and the Department of Home Affairs.

Viettel will help the team digitize cemetery records, the site's map, information on the recovered remains, and sampling forms during the excavation. This digital database will allow for long-term storage and management, and facilitate accurate DNA data matching at forensic labs under the Ministry of National Defense.

The team will continue to collect samples at the cemetery until July 10. All collected samples will get packaged, preserved according to technical procedures, and handed over to forensic units in three batches.
