Attending the ceremony at Dong Tam International Martyrs’ Cemetery in Thiet Ong commune, Thanh Hoa province, General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, and representatives of Vietnamese ministries and agencies and Houaphanh province of Lao offered incense in tribute to the martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for national independence and freedom and the noble international mission in Laos.

Since 1998, with the support of Houaphanh province, the Remains Collection Team of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command under Military Region 4 Command has searched for and repatriated thousands of martyrs’ remains to Vietnam for reburial.
