The delegations commended the religious dignitaries, pagodas' management boards, influential figures, and the Khmer communities for their contributions to building a rich cultural life, promoting socio-economic development, preserving national identity, and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
Venerable Ly Hung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Patriotic Monk Solidarity Association and head of Pitukhosa Rangsay Pagoda in Ninh Kieu Ward, said Can Tho city has a large Khmer community. "Through the implementation of national target programs and projects, the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs acts as a bridge, advise sectors and authorities on the effective delivery of policies that help ethnic minority communities develop their economies," he added.
The delegates wished the Khmer community a joyful and happy Sene Dolta Festival.
