In discussions with ministries, agencies, An Giang province, and investors, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam successfully hosted the APEC Summit twice in 2006 and 2017 and has extensive experience in preparing and organizing major international events. Hosting the third time requires building on that experience and drawing on international best practices, he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Tuc called the implementation of infrastructure projects serving APEC 2027 a very important and urgent task, which has received attention and guidance from the Party and State leaders. These projects also contribute to the development of Phu Quoc and the country in the coming years, therefore, Deputy Prime Minister requested that they be completed on schedule with quality and safety.
Among the 21 key projects serving APEC 2027, many have been implemented on schedule, according to a report from An Giang province. The province aims for the final project to be completed around May 31, 2027, about 6 months before the opening of the APEC Summit.
