Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, who heads the subcommittee, commended the efforts of An Giang province and Sun Group in preparing for the event. She called for additional investment in modern broadcasting, audio-visual, and communications infrastructure, including an advanced operations and media control center, to ensure both domestic and international journalists have the facilities needed to cover the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in 2027.

She also urged relevant agencies to promptly finalize plans for the international press center, accommodation, transportation, and other logistical support for media personnel. Issues beyond the authority of local agencies should be consolidated and submitted to the National Committee for APEC 2027 for timely guidance and resolution.

According to the deputy minister, these preparations will not only ensure the successful organization of APEC 2027 events but also help showcase Vietnam as a friendly, peaceful, and stable destination while promoting the cultural heritage and tourism potential of Phu Quoc Special Zone and An Giang province to the international community.

Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization and Deputy Head of the APEC 2027 Communications and Culture Subcommittee, urged An Giang province to continue addressing challenges and promptly report outstanding issues to the government and relevant ministries.

He also called on the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to finalize a comprehensive plan for cultural and artistic events, exhibitions, film weeks, and tourism promotion activities to accompany APEC 2027.
