During the 17-day session, lawmakers are expected to pass 15 draft laws and four draft resolutions, while giving first-round consideration to seven other bills and discussing seven major national issues.

Among the bills slated for adoption are the revised Law on Petroleum and the Law on Urban Development. Draft laws to be submitted for initial discussion include the revised Penal Code, the amended Law on Real Estate Business, and the revised Land Law, among others.

The National Assembly will also deliberate on several major national matters, including the investment policy for Ring Road No. 5 in the Hanoi Capital Region; adjustments to the investment policy for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project; and proposals to establish the centrally run cities of Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh.

Other key agenda items include the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project, the integration of four national target programs into a single program, and personnel matters.
