Representatives from government agencies, academia, policymaking bodies, and businesses said Vietnam’s education system needs stronger quality assurance and higher training standards to develop a high-quality workforce for the future economy, particularly as the country works to develop international financial centers.
Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Education and Training, said: “Vietnam is entering an important period of development and transformation, with major shifts towards the digital economy, innovation, and the green transition. The Ministry of Education and Training highly values the support of international partners, particularly leading UK universities and corporations, in developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s strategic sectors.”
The forum also featured data on Vietnam’s education market and discussions on developing a highly skilled workforce for international financial centers and other high-value-added industries.
