HCM City plans August burial ceremony for remains of fallen soldiers recovered at Le Thi Rieng Park

[VOVWORLD] - Military Zone 7 is stepping up efforts to locate, recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers, with a greater focus on digital technology and DNA analysis, delegates learned at a review conference held on Thursday.

[VOVWORLD] - Thousands of Youth Union members joined delegates and local residents in candle-lighting and incense-offering ceremonies at two martyrs' cemeteries in Dak Lak province on Sunday and Monday, paying tribute to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.

[VOVWORLD] - Every July, as sudden rains slow the rhythm of daily life, Vietnam pauses to remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence and freedom. That remembrance is reflected in the “500-day campaign to search for, recover, and identify fallen soldiers' remains,” a humanitarian effort underway nationwide.

[VOVWORLD] - At 5 a.m. on Monday, three rounds of bells and three rounds of Bat Nha drums were sounded simultaneously at Buddhist temples and institutions across Vietnam to honor fallen heroes as the nation marks the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27.
