In its assessment, TTW describes the city as a dynamic Southeast Asian shopping hub where traditional markets, local shops, and modern retail centers blend together to create a diverse shopping experience.
Visiting Vietnam for the first time, Archon Wong, a traveler from Singapore, said he bought a few things, including Vietnamese coffee, snacks souvenirs, cloth, and some handmade for products for his family. “I especially like the products that have strong Vietnamese identity because they feel more personal and meaningful than the typical souvenirs you can find anywhere”, he added.
Meanwhile, Eli Dukorski, a tourist from Israel, said the Ho Chi Minh City trip was his first time in Asia and he enjoyed every moment there. “I have good time here in shopping. I like the service. It is good atmosphere. The people are kind and friendly. It’s a good moment for me,” he said.
The city’s main shopping areas include Dong Khoi Street, Ben Thanh Market, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and Saigon Centre, where traditional retail experiences coexist with modern shopping facilities.
