At a meeting with voters from Dien Hong, Binh Tay, Vuon Lai, Binh Tien, and other wards on Monday, Mr. Quang said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Saigon-Gia Dinh officially being renamed after President Ho Chi Minh in 1976, the city will launch a number of major infrastructure projects, including urban railway lines, airport and seaport connections, and other key transport works. The city is also developing a family doctor model to provide early and tele-healthcare services to residents in order to reduce pressure on higher-level hospitals.
Mr. Quang said: “We aim not only to provide better meals, clothing, and more spacious housing, but also to create a more civilized, courteous, and safer society with a higher quality of life. Ho Chi Minh City has the resources, experience, and room for development. The city leadership has determined that we must take the lead in this effort.”
Ho Chi Minh City is promoting administrative reform and digital transformation, while placing expectations on the Special Urban Law to create more room for development in the coming period, Mr. Quang added.
