The search followed the information verification phase to bring the fallen soldiers back to their comrades and families and is a key activity in the "500-Day Campaign to Search, Collect, and Identify the Remains of Martyrs with Incomplete Information" launched on March 15, 2026.
The program began with a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Monument to the late Party General Secretary Tran Phu and the Memorial Monument to the Heroic Martyrs. Then came the ceremony to launch the search and collection of martyrs' remains which will be conducted in three areas spanning 2,500 square meters.
