The initiative is being carried out in line with the National Steering Committee's 2026–2030 plan for locating, recovering, and identifying war martyrs' remains. National Archives Centers nationwide have been mobilized to review, catalogue, and examine records related to fallen soldiers, military campaigns, major battles, and key operational areas.
Initial findings have uncovered numerous files containing valuable information that could aid efforts to locate and identify missing servicemen.
In the coming period, the department will continue cataloguing, digitizing, and standardizing relevant archival records while strengthening data sharing and coordination with government agencies to improve the verification process.
To enhance the efficiency of information retrieval for the "500-Day Campaign", the department also plans to apply digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced data-mining tools to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains.
