The projects include one to upgrade and reinforce the dyke system, dredge the Nhue River, and tackle its pollution, as well as the development of Ba Vi Safari Park.

Also on Friday evening, the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward launched a pilot “Smart Street” model along the Hang Dao–Hang Ngang–Hang Duong–Dong Xuan–Hang Giay route. The initiative aims to integrate technology-based solutions into a connected ecosystem of public services and amenities.

High-speed free Wi-Fi is being rolled out along the route. QR codes on street-name signs allow users to access a dedicated “Hanoi Old Quarter” information portal, offering bilingual Vietnamese and English information on each street’s history, cultural values, heritage sites, attractions, cuisine, shopping, and distinctive services.

An AI chatbot has also been integrated to help users find information, ask questions, and learn about local attractions. Another feature is a digital map with GPS navigation and 360-degree images of heritage sites, giving visitors a more immersive view of the historic area.
