Pacific Partnership is the US Navy's largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster response mission in the Indo-Pacific, while Pacific Friends is jointly organized by the US Army Pacific and the 18th Medical Command.
This year, the two initiatives were combined into PP-PF 26, which runs from June 22 to July 6 in Quang Tri province.
The program involves around 300 US military personnel working alongside local authorities and specialists in 25 activities relating to humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness, healthcare, construction and renovation, community engagement, and the search for those who were missing in the wars.
Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri People's Committee, said the program coincides with Quang Tri's 2026 Festival for Peace: "This year's program takes place as Quang Tri hosts the 2026 Festival for Peace. The gathering carries profound significance, as together we reaffirm a shared message that peace is not only an aspiration but also the foundation for nations to cooperate, develop and build a better future together."
