Colonel Dang Vinh Thuy, Commander of the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command, said: "Upon receiving the order, nearly 200 officers and soldiers, and construction vehicles moved to the site to begin the work without delay. Together with supporting forces, we worked through the night. Thanks to careful planning, military discipline, and our determination to do everything for the people, we successfully fulfilled the mission."
Built by military engineers in just 16 days, the houses are located in the San Bay resettlement area. Each house has a floor area of 80 square metres.
Nung Thi Tu shared her joy of receiving the new house: "We are very happy to move into our new home today. The soldiers worked day and night to complete these houses so that we could settle in as soon as possible. Now we are cleaning up and moving in our belongings to rebuild our lives."
Lai Chau province will continue building 20 more houses for other affected families in Muong Than commune in a concentrated resettlement area for over 250 households.
