Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a halt to attacks on Kyiv on Saturday, after which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a similar announcement.

On Saturday, US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with President Putin in Moscow. The agenda of their discussions was not disclosed.

However, ahead of the meeting, US President Donald Trump said that his envoys would present a proposal aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine.
