Professor Huang said the Vietnamese top leader’s address highlighted three major crises currently facing the world – the crisis of the international order, the crisis of development models, and the crisis of strategic trust.
Mr. Lam stressed the need for countries in the region to promote a more inclusive development model, putting improving people's living standard and strengthening social resilience at its core. These remarks demonstrate Vietnam’s sense of responsibility in addressing regional security challenges and contributing to long-term stability in the region.
Huang observed that the keynote address, grounded in the shared interests of ASEAN and reflecting the sustainable security vision pursued by countries across the region, emphasized respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations. Amid profound global changes and growing regional security challenges, Vietnam’s commitment to pursuing a policy of non-alignment, non-confrontation, and not targeting any third party will provide stability and a constructive voice for the region, he said.
Assessing Vietnam’s efforts to promote strategic trust and minimize conflict risks, Huang said Vietnam has consistently pursued a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship and balanced multilateralization.
