They stressed the need to strengthen and reform the UN to make it more effective in addressing conflicts and other global challenges.
US President Donald Trump highlighted his domestic and foreign policy achievements, including resolving 8 global conflicts and creating a new Board of Peace.
Leaders from other countries said the world is facing unprecedented challenges, reaffirmed the UN’s central role in the multilateral system, and called for reforms to help the organization respond more effectively to emerging crises.
The General Debate of the 81st UN General Assembly, a crucial forum for world leaders to share their visions and seek solutions to pressing global issues, will continue until Monday.
