The city's Steering Committee for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Martyrs' Remains received personal belongings of 3 fallen soldiers, burial records and maps marking the graves of 21 martyrs at K76A Hospital, and decoded documents related to Unit 962. The documents are linked to items uncovered during excavation work at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City.
“Following the Prime Minister's directive, we are making every effort to carry out the 500-day campaign to search for, recover, and identify the remains of martyrs. It’s our shared responsibility to help bring them back to their families,” Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said at the handover ceremony.
The new documents and artifacts will expand the database for search and identification work and help cross-check information received from witnesses, veterans, relatives of fallen soldiers, and local authorities.
