Participants to the two-day workshop discuss trends in artificial intelligence and digital transformation that are reshaping business models, supply chains and labour markets. They exchange views on AI solutions and application models to improve productivity, operational efficiency and the participation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in global value chains.
Participants also examine policies to promote digital skills, narrow the digital gap, improve access to finance and digital infrastructure, and build a supportive ecosystem for safe and responsible AI application.
The outcomes of the workshop will be compiled into policy recommendations for submission to the APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Working Group and contribute to the agenda for APEC Vietnam 2027, reaffirming Vietnam's proactive, active and responsible role in promoting regional economic cooperation initiatives.
