Introducing the booth to Mozambican President Daniel Chapo during his visit on opening day, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin said the Embassy had chosen coffee – one of Vietnam’s signature agricultural products and key exports – as the central theme of its participation in this year’s FACIM.
Through the initiative, Vietnam hopes to promote its high-quality products to Mozambican consumers and introduce the distinctive culture of Vietnamese coffee. The Ambassador said coffee is an integral part of Vietnamese daily life and culture.
Vietnam is currently the world’s largest producer and exporter of Robusta coffee. Last year, it earned 9 billion USD from coffee exports, a record high, with production reaching approximately 1.6 million tons. Vietnamese coffee is now available in 80 countries and territories.
