Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said Mr. Man’s first visit to China as Vietnam’s top legislator is a key diplomatic event aimed at further implementing the foreign policy orientations set out at the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The visit is expected to strengthen Vietnam-China relations, improve cooperation between the two legislatures, and reaffirm the central role of parliamentary ties in the overall Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
Established in 2024, the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and China’s National People’s Congress is a high-level parliamentary cooperation mechanism of a kind that both countries have established with only a limited number of partners.
The session is expected to translate strategic orientations into concrete actions to strengthen coordination, create a more favorable legal framework for bilateral cooperation, and oversee and advance the implementation of shared commitments and high-level agreements between the two countries.
