During a meeting with Wang Huning, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), in Beijing on Tuesday, Mr. Tri reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to building a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance in the new era, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples while contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development.

Mr. Wang affirmed that China attaches great importance to its friendship with Vietnam and regards bilateral relations as a priority in its neighbourhood diplomacy. China stands ready to work with Vietnam to advance bilateral relations to new heights in a more substantive and effective manner.

Mr. Tri called for stronger collaboration in trade and investment on a balanced and sustainable basis, accelerated connectivity through strategic infrastructure projects, particularly railways, expanded cooperation in science, technology and innovation, enhanced people-to-people exchanges, and the successful organization of the Vietnam-China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026–2027.
