The event aims to honor national solidarity while preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s diverse communities.

Participants engaged in a range of activities that showcased and reenacted daily life, customs, rituals, traditional costumes, folk music and dance, cuisine, handicrafts, and folk games of ethnic communities.

Highlights included the reenactment of the Chu Ru people’s new rice celebration ritual from Lam Dong province and the distinctive “double wedding” custom of the Thai ethnic group from Thanh Hoa province.

A special program titled “Colors of Mountain Region” offered visitors the unique art forms from the Muong, Thai, Kho Mu, and Lao communities.

Also on Sunday, ethnic communities from four border hamlets in Cao Veu, Anh Son commune, Nghe An province, organized Vietnam Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day 2026. The event reflected the rich cultural identity of the Thai people living along the border, within the buffer zone of the Pu Mat forest.

In Khanh Hoa province, the celebration featured a variety of cultural and sporting activities, creating a platform for exchange and connection.

The event created an opportunity for ethnic communities to showcase their talents and cultural pride while promoting awareness of heritage preservation in the context of integration and development.
