At a Government press briefing in Hanoi on Saturday, Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Duc Chi said the economy continued to post positive results in the third quarter and the first nine months, while the macroeconomic situation remained broadly stable. GDP grew an estimated 9.95% year on year in the third quarter, bringing nine-month growth to 9.01%.
The Government will coordinate monetary, fiscal and other macroeconomic policies to control inflation, maintain stability and support growth, while ensuring energy security and improving the business environment.
State Bank of Vietnam Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha said banks will expand preferential credit programs for key growth drivers, small and medium-sized enterprises, agriculture, high-quality low-emission rice production, and strategic infrastructure in power, transport and technology.
The Government also aims to disburse 100% of planned public investment capital and accelerate major projects.
