At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung said Vietnam needs to improve access to affordable financing, master key technologies, and effectively mobilize resources to achieve both double-digit economic growth and net-zero emissions by 2050.
Mr. Dung expressed hope that the Quy Nhon Dialogue will serve as a bridge connecting scientists, policymakers, international organizations, and businesses to strengthen cooperation on climate action and build a long-term collaborative network.
The event is expected to grow into a major international forum for scientific exchange and cooperation.
The inaugural dialogue centered around climate science, energy security, decarbonization, transition finance, climate risks, and resilience.
