Speaking to the press following Prime Minister Le Minh Hung’s participation in the summit, Giang said that ASEAN leaders reached broad consensus on comprehensive and inclusive measures to address both immediate and long-term challenges across all pillars of cooperation, ranging from political-security and economic issues to socio-cultural development, while ensuring the safety and security of ASEAN citizens.

At the summit, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung put forward a range of proposals and initiatives aimed at contributing to ASEAN’s common solutions, strengthening regional solidarity and enhancing the bloc’s resilience in responding to current challenges and preparing for the future.

Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang said: "This was Prime Minister Le Minh Hung’s first ASEAN Summit since assuming office as Vietnam’s Prime Minister. The Prime Minister introduced a number of initiatives to contribute to ASEAN. Other countries showed strong support for these initiatives, particularly those related to implementing commitments on energy and petroleum security, boosting intra-regional trade, removing trade barriers within ASEAN, and expanding the bloc’s external relations with partners."

Bilateral meetings held on the sidelines of the summit also helped spread the message of a dynamic, innovative, deeply integrated and fast-rising Vietnam, creating favorable momentum for stronger relations between Vietnam and its partners in the coming period.
