The program was held in collaboration with the Center for Materials Innovation and Technology (CMIT). At the talent camp, participating students will receive training from Vietnamese scientists working in Vietnam and from some of the world's top research institutions.
The talent camp is the latest initiative by VinGroup to promote science and innovation, following two successful programs - Homecoming for Vietnamese Scientists 2026 and the International Conference on Materials Innovation and Technology.
These events aim to provide training and inspiration for Vietnamese youths, build a global network of Vietnamese scientists, and promote international collaborations in scientific research. They have helped form an interdisciplinary research team that includes scientists from CMIT under VinUniversity, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the US-based University of Missouri, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
The team is pursuing a novel approach to energy materials research, with implications for developing next-generation solid-state batteries.
This is a promising line of fundamental research that can pave the way for advanced materials design based on radiation-induced defect engineering, contributing to higher performance and safer batteries in the future.
