While in South Korea, the Vietnamese top legislator met with Prime Minister Han Seong-sook and held talks with National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong-sik. The leaders of the two countries highlighted the development of Vietnam-South Korea relations, particularly regular exchanges of delegations at all levels. They agreed that they have become top-tier partners for each other in economics, trade, and investment.

The leaders agreed to pursue a strategic vision for economic integration suited to the new context that will deliver benefits to both countries, aiming to raise bilateral trade to 100 billion USD this year and 150 billion USD by 2030.

They agreed to strengthen cooperation in science and technology; expand collaboration in human resource training, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges; and continue to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese community in South Korea and the Korean community in Vietnam.

The leaders agreed to maintain regular exchanges and share experience in law-making and institution-building to support sustainable development. The two countries will promote exchanges between parliamentary committees, and effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two legislatures signed in 2025.
