Highlighting the considerable potential for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, Mr. Man urged Mongolia to increase imports of Vietnamese agricultural products, push ahead the completion and signing of a new agreement on investment promotion and protection, improve policies and legal frameworks for investment in potential areas of cooperation, and encourage businesses from both countries to invest in industrial parks and form joint ventures to develop warehousing infrastructure and logistics centres.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly stands ready to remove institutional and regulatory barriers to promote Vietnam-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.
Prime Minister Nyam-Osoryn Uchral said the two countries should make greater efforts to promote economic and trade cooperation in line with their political ties and potential.
He called for expanded tourism cooperation and the maintenance of regular direct flights between the two countries, noting that many Mongolians wish to travel to Vietnam.
He also encouraged Vietnamese businesses to cooperate with Mongolian partners in renewable energy and agricultural production and export. He proposed promoting negotiations on a trilateral transport mechanism among Vietnam, Mongolia and China to make transport and logistics cooperation more effective and substantive.
