VOV’s correspondent in India spoke with Professor Sonu Trivedi of the University of Delhi, a senior fellow at the India Foundation and founding director of the Centre for Vietnam Studies, about Vietnam's role as a BRICS partner country and new opportunities for cooperation.
Professor Trivedi said Vietnam’s participation as a BRICS partner country will create opportunities for other members to gain a better understanding of and access to the Vietnamese market.
She noted that Vietnam is playing an increasingly important role in global supply chains, with its strong manufacturing sector offering significant opportunities for BRICS members. Meanwhile, BRICS provides Vietnam with opportunities to deepen cooperation and gain access to large markets beyond Asia.
The Indian Professor added that closer cooperation with BRICS could help Vietnam diversify its products and export markets, creating further opportunities to boost exports.
Vietnamese businesses will have more favorable conditions to expand their operations while gaining opportunities to explore, understand, and tap into new markets in BRICS countries.
