Hanoi Street Art Festival

(VOVworld) – Thousands of young people have taken part in the Street Art Festival, organized by Hanoi’s Youth Union to mark the 83rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union. The event was also part of activities to celebrate the “I love Hanoi” movement and the Year of Youth Volunteers 2014.

(VOVworld) – In response to the “Earth Hour” campaign on March 29, the American Club will organize a “Turn off the light” gala and a grant ceremony will be held at the August Revolution square in Hanoi, with the participation of hundreds of young people. Young people in the capital city have also engaged in various activities to protect the environment and minimize the impact of climate change.

(VOVworld) – 21-year-old Phan Huy Bach has returned to Hanoi, his birthplace, after 8 years studying abroad. He was accompanied by Marina Berezovikova, his Belarusian girlfriend who is studying economics. Marina was very excited because it was her first visit to Vietnam. The couple spent a day searching out Bach’s childhood memories. Reporter Phuong Lien accompanied them on their trip.

(VOVworld) - Along with migrants from across Vietnam, “don ca tai tu” or amateur singing has been brought to Vietnam’s south-western sea together with other types of traditional art forms. Fishermen often sing “tai tu” songs to ease their tiredness after a long working day as well as their homesickness. For that reason, amateur singing clubs were established on Phu Quoc Island and warmly welcomed by the local inhabitants.
